



Victorian, Scottish Banded Agate Sterling Silver Panel Bracelet
A stunning Victorian, Scottish, Silver and banded Agate panel bracelet, with hand engraved box clasp c1860s-1880s
Scottish Hardstone jewellery became very popular in the mid 1800s. Prince Albert and Queen Victorian purchased Balmoral Castle in Scotland in 1852, Queen Victoria brought back souvenirs from her stay and of course what Queen Victoria did many others would follow and agate jewellery became all the rage!
A superb example of a Victorian Scottish, Silver, banded agate panel Bracelet, so beautifully made. The reeded banded agate panels are all slightly convex to follow the contours of the arm when worn. All 5 panels are framed within Sterling Silver mounts, hand engraved and articulated by chain links. This bracelet features a Gorgeous hand engraved box clasp that closes with a little click and is very secure.
The banded agates are all in fantastic condition, shiny and bright, no cracks or chips. There colours range from oranges and ambers to browns and creams, all with beautiful translucence
