A very striking Victorian Sterling Silver hand engraved, wide hinged, Aesthetic Movement Bangle, c1880s

I love this bangle! It's so wide at over 3.8cm and so very striking, it has a really contemporary, timeless look to it despite being made almost 150 years ago. Lots of detail and texture to the front, plain polished Silver to the reverse

Hand crafted in Sterling Silver and skilfully hand engraved to the front with borders of foliate motifs, forget me nots and a central section of fern leaves between the raised applied detailing with filigree detailing betwixt

A beautifully made, antique statement piece, so easy to wear, just open up and snap on! The bangle closes with a good click and remains securely closed.

Weight: 55 grams

Dimensions: 38.3mm wide, internal dimensions are 58.3mm x 51.6mm

Condition: Very good condition, The hinge is perfectly aligned and the clasp closes perfectly and stays securely closed. The Silver has a lovely antique patina to it, there is a small dent to the side of the polished reverse and some scratches to the rear commensurate with age that could be polished out by a jeweller but we prefer to leave it with it's historic patina in tact
