A stunning Victorian Sterling Silver Gilt hand engraved hinged bangle, by acclaimed Silversmiths, James Fenton & Co of Birmingham, hallmarked 1886

This wide cuff bangle is rather special. Hand crafted in Gilded Sterling Silver the bangle is skillfully hand engraved with Japanese inspired motifs to the front. A water scene of 2 swallows, happily darting amongst the bamboo reeds to the foreground and a little sail boat in the background.

Quite rare to find a gilded example, the gilding remains in lovely condition, with a subtle mellowed patina

So easy to wear, just open up and snap on! The bangle closes with a good click and remains securely closed. There is also a later added safety chain for extra security

Dimensions: 32mm wide, internal dimensions are 58.5mm x 49.5mm

Condition: Very good condition, The front of the bangle is free of dents, there are some little undulations in the silver on the rear of the bangle but not at all detrimental and not noticeable when worn. The top of one side of the hinge is a tiny bit out of alignment but again not at all noticeable when worn but should be mentioned, a mellowed patina to the gilding
