A very charming 9ct Gold Victorian fly stick pin c1880s in original case

The Victorians had a penchant for all things novelty and insect motif Jewellery was very popular, from Diamond encrusted beetles to multi gem set spiders. This stick pin is a rather charming piece and quite lifelike with beautifully hand engraved wings that really capture the intricate and fragile nature of insect wings

In warm rosey 9ct Gold, (the pin is gold plated)

Dimensions: The fly measures, 24 high x 14.7 wide x 5mm deep

Condition: Very good antique condition, The fly has had a bit of a bump to his body, there are 2 little dents but these are not detrimental to this charming piece and add to the antique patina
