Beautiful Antique, hand made, Art Nouveau 930 Silver and enamel festoon Necklace by acclaimed Norwegian silversmiths Marius Hammer c1890s to 1900s
This is a rare piece from Marius Hammer featuring intricate silver work- unusual Greek key design, openwork links set with pastel blue pearlescent enamel ball highlights that suspend intricate leaf detailed garlands - all skillfully hand cut. The necklace terminates at the bottom with a bow topped, fully detailed ring with enamelled highlights- the use of the Greek key design and bows and garlands popular in the late Victorian period suggests that this is an early piece On a long and short link chain that closes with the original push and twist barrel clasp in excellent working order.
