An Original Art Deco 18ct Gold & Platinum, Amethyst solitaire ring with diamond set shoulders c1920s-30s

A gorgeous Art Deco Amethyst ring! The vivid violet natural Amethyst looks wonderful and rich against the cooler Platinum setting. The Amethyst is enveloped by graduated pierced chevron shoulders, with millegrain borders and 8, grain set 'eight cut' Diamonds to either side. Falling to a narrow D shaped band in 18ct Gold

This vintage, Amethyst and Diamond beauty would make a fabulous vintage engagement ring!

The Amethyst features some zoning, from slightly paler to more vivid deep violet. This isn't very evident when worn and is certainly not a flaw, rather a natural occurrence within the stone and often seen in Natural Amethyst.

The Amethyst is 8.8x8x5.5 mm

There is a personal inscription to the inside of the band that reads P. to G.

The ring is unmarked, tested as 18ct Gold and Platinum

Condition: Very good vintage condition, some slight wear to the facet edges of the Amethyst commensurate with the age of the ring and only noticeable under magnification
