Murrle Bennett & Co, were synonymous with high quality, beautiful, Art Nouveau and Arts and crafts jewellery in the early twentieth century and are highly sought after and collectable, this pendant being a beautifully preserved example

Such a gorgeous pendant that remains in immaculate condition, the vivid Turquoise enamel is shiny and bright and contrasts beautifully against the subtly mellowed silver. The design features littel berry like motifs and a litte leaf drop. With a large oval bail ready to hang from a Silver chain

Founders Ernst Murrle and JB Bennett operated as Murrle Bennett and Co in the early part of the 20th Century, manufacturing and importing jewellery, Murrle being of German dissent and friends with jewellery designer Theodore Fahrer brought the Jugendstil influence to the company

Stamped to the rear: MBCO (Murrle Bennett & Co mark) and 950 (for higher Silver fineness the Sterling Silver)
