1920s Hugo Grun, Art Deco, 14ct Gold, Onyx & Diamond Plaque Ring

An Early Art Deco ring by Hugo Grun, a Diamond & Onyx plaque ring in 14ct Gold, made in 1927

This ring is very striking and beautifully made, the rectangular onyx is set within a raised bezel in 14ct Gold with a mellow, warm and rosey hue, surrounded by a framework of hand engraving that radiates out to the shoulders

A little transitional cut Diamond is set to the centre of the onyx panel within a gold bezel, adding a little bit of sparkle against the shiny black onyx 

The transitional cut Diamond is 2mm round, 0.03 carat, Clarity VS1 Colour G-H

Hallmark: Helsinki (Finland) town mark, 585 for 14ct Gold and date letter X5 for 1927

Dimensions: The head of the ring 13.2mm high x 11.8mm wide and stands off the finger 3.3mm
