Nellie’s Trove is a UK based online store dedicated to the curation and sale of Beautiful Antique and Vintage jewellery mainly from the Victorian period through to the mid twentieth Century with an emphasis on hand crafted timeless pieces that blend effortlessly with todays contemporary styles 

Nellie’s Trove is run by Helen (and her helpers behind the scenes), Jewellery obsessive, with a super keen eye, Only the pieces with that certain special something make the grade and will be included in the collection. Always on the look out for Beautiful pieces to excitedly add to Nellies Trove’s growing collection. Helen started buying and selling antique Jewellery on several marketplaces before setting up the brand ‘Nellies Trove' in 2019 and (incorporating the business in 2021) with her love of Antique Jewellery and all things unique and hand crafted, a great believer in the Father of the Arts and crafts movement William Morris’s philosophy: “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” 

From a hand made dove tail joint on a set of drawers to a hand cut pavilion on an antique diamond, why have mass produced when you can have something truly unique and skilfully hand crafted 

Jewellery may seem like a frivolous fancy but it can bring about such joy (and we all need some of that in our lives), the sparkle and fire from an old cut diamond over candle light, the multi coloured cascade of colours from an Australian opal, the intricate hand made gallery of an Edwardian ring. And the great thing about Antique & Vintage Jewellery is that you can enjoy all this in the knowledge that you made an ethical choice 

We especially love the Art Deco geometric styling of the 1920s and 30s and rings of the 1940s and 50s, ‘Some of the asymmetrical tank rings are just amazing, they remind me of little buildings as if they were designed by architects!’ Helen’s own favourite piece is a French 1940s old cut Diamond bow ring, ‘its, big, bold and fabulous and I’ve not seen another like it, I’m not letting go of this beauty’

OUR PACKAGING

Out of a genuine concern for the environment we made the decision to keep our packaging simple and as environmentally friendly as possible. We use card Jewellery boxes with paper inserts, our ribbon is sustainable, compostable and biodegradable, our ring boxes have sustainable foam inserts

We send all parcels completely plastic free, even our documents wallets are made of paper
